Charlotte is probably one of the most whimsical and creative bloggers we’ve worked with thus far. Her love for everything girly and of course, Ms. del Rey gives her aesthetic just the right amount of edge to the softer side of things. Check our Charlotte’s blog here and our interview with her.
1) How long have you been blogging for? What made you start?
I set up my blog in 2010 and posted daily about art and my ideas, it was a way to keep track of my over active imagination. I didn’t take it very seriously in the beginning I didn’t know what fashion blogging was I had no idea how some people have so many followers and appeared in newspapers and magazines. Then I started to post daily outfit photos to look book and it started from there really. Companies saw my enthusiasm for fashion and styling and mailed me about collaborating and I thought well if I’m getting something out of it thats got to be worth the effort of keeping it up. I also enjoy inspiring other people with my diy pieces and outfits I’ve altered from charity shops or from my grandmothers closet, my dad thinks I’m nuts taking photos of myself in my bedroom and tells me to grow up and stop dressing up like a child. But it makes me happy and its a way of life for me so why should I stop doing that.
2) How would you describe your aesthetic?
Its a mixed of everything at the moment, but recently people have been saying I look like a doll or a pixie so I thought that taking photos in my bedroom and dressing up in vintage or themed type outfits enhances my whimsical aesthetic.
3) Your perfect outfit consists of?
frills, peter pan collars, floral prints, straw hats and pearls.
4) A Spring trend you can’t live without…
definitely florals, i love them so so much, I think they can be quite vintage and antique yet very modern and chic at the same time. floral prints are always around and i don’t think will ever leave, they are so perfect for spring/summer.
5) One thing on your bucket list you have to do
i don’t have a bucket list but i think i should make one, oh there are so many things but I would love to be invited to london fashion week and breath the same air as my favourite fashion designers and favourite models, that would be a dream and something i have to do.
