Show some love
It’s the last weekend of July and finally summer in ALL parts of Canada. Our interns tell us Vancouver is finally getting in on some heat action, that TO has been hoggin the past few months. To celebrate, we dug up some beautiful photos, post Stanley Cup…and the issues that occurred, by Vancouver local, Alexis Jackson. A lot of ♥ took place after that incident, and this photographer...

Kickin It With Primary Colours
I think we’re gonna be seeing quite some colour this Fall. Footwear is the perfect area to bring out the colour-blocking we’ve seen since Spring. Keep in mind, colour-blocking doesn’t need to be high heels only.

Fruit Loops
This old trick in the book is a classic. It’s easy to wear, fun to pair up, and slims you down, despite a lack of black. We took inspiration from Gucci SS 2011 and of course, Jil Sander, the colour-blocking power house, for our September look book! As Alexia, our head of creative would say, colour-blocking is as fun as “fruit loops”.

Socks and Sandals
I always envy the girls who can pull off the socks and sandals look. They make it look so effortless and easy that I’m always fiendishly trying to find the perfect pair of socks in my sock drawer. We’ve put together a few images of our fav ways to wear this ensemble, high heels or not, these ladies give this look a good name.

I never miss an opportunity to pay tribute to the supers, especially one as legendary as IMAN!
With either an abundance of jewelry or nothing at all, she is style (and her husband’s all right too!)

Summer often evokes certain images. Bikinis, heat, ice cream and of course, skirts. Back in the 50s and 60s, skirts had to be below the knee. But the skirts of today...

African jewelry has recently become more and more substantial in the fashion world. We are bringing in a line of hand made pieces from Kenya come Fall, and thought this little blog post as the perfect introduction. x

Vintage culottes
A pair of palazzo pants/wide-leg culottes I have in my closet. Suprisingly versatile, with the comfort of wide-leg trousers and the timeless look of a long pleated skirt. I break these out for the really chic dinners and events.

Readers, meet your new summer pants. This week we explore the PALAZZO pant.
The waist : high & fitted
The leg : flares from the hip and is the widest of the wide, making you look itty bitty.
