'The Sams' Shopping Haul!

Happy fashionable Friday everyone! Today we’re showcasing two of our blogger friends ‘The Sams’. They are two good friends from Toronto, who have a love for fashion and enjoy blogging on their spare time. Recently, they were invited into Club Monaco to pick out some of their favourite pieces to choose and style. They also picked up a few pieces for themselves, so we’re going to show you what they’ve chosen for this coming Fall season, and why they chose it!

Up above, we have Sam D’s personal haul. She opted for the perfect Fall hat, that can go with just about any outfit, a fabulous pair of leather shorts that can easily be paired with a pair of tights on those colder nights, and a fabulous printed top that can easily be dressed up or dressed down. These are some perfect staples for the Fall season!

Sam P.’s haul can be seen above! She opted for a pair of pumps, which are basically perfect in every way, a great transitional quilted jacket with leather accents, printed pants, and a casual mens henley top. These are all perfect for Fall and can be extremely versatile.

Follow The Sams on more of their adventures on their blog, and go check out some more details from their Club Monaco trip.

We hope you all have a fabulous and fashionable weekend!

The Signature Bow

Leonie, originally from the Netherlands now based in Vancouver, is a blogger and marketing coordinator. Her blog, The Signature Bow, consists of fashion DIY, trends, recipes and inspirations. Check out our Q&A with Leonie!
1) How long have you been blogging for? What made you start?
I have been blogging for almost 1.5 years. I started one month after moving to Vancouver from the Netherlands. I had been reading blogs for years and I thought this was the perfect moment for (another) fresh start.

2) How would you describe your aesthetic?
My aesthetic is ever-changing and evolving; I appreciate and like trying new styles. I feel easily inspired by a picture or a movie and can get carried away for a while with a certain look. I used to be all about pink, floral and bows (hence the blog name), now I have a thing for black, leather and statement jewelry. I follow trends, but don’t use them as a guideline - I still like to incorporate my own ideas. Whether dressed-up or down, it always has to be feminine. And lots of classic jewelry: my golden bracelets and ring, and chic vintage pieces.

3) Your perfect outfit consists of?
My perfect outfit really depends on my mood, but I always like to throw in ‘a favorite’ of some sort… be it a piece of jewelry, pretty shoes or just comfortable clothing. If it makes me feel good at that moment, it’s perfect.

4) A classic trend you try to incorporate into your style.
This season I feel drawn to the most classic “color” out there: black. An all-black outfit with gold and/or vintage jewelry can look so effortless and chic at the same time. If I could (= would dare), I’d love to walk around all dolled up like in the 40s/50s/60s. But that wouldn’t be very convenient!

5) One thing on your bucket list you have to do.
One thing that has been on my (bucket) list since forever: visiting NYC. Actually traveling in general - there is too much to see in this world to just stay in one place!

20s on the Streets

History 101: Known as the “Roaring Twenties”, this decade was known as the time when the whole world had changed. Our world had just lived through the first ever world war and life was good again. The economic boom in the United States made this period a time of lux and wealth. High quality clothing, especially fur, became prevalent, and fashion was never the same again. The style from this decade may seem shapeless and conservative to us now, but being able to pull it off allows the most stylish of the streets to easily carry an air of je ne sais quoi.
