Leather has been absolutely everywhere this fall and we can’t complain. Not only is it warm enough to shield us from autumnal breezes but it’s also a fabric that’s versatile and stylish. There’s nothing new about leather shoes or accessories - but we can’t help but swoon at these Saint Laurent pumps or let our hair down with these studded sneakers. A leather clutch is also easily transferable from day to night and we especially like this Anya Hindmarch one or this ultra glam knuckle clutch.
The must have however, is our leather dress that is as fly as it is comfortable, yes it has stretch. Another easy day to night piece is the leather skirt like our Penelope Python Leather skirt from the 1980s. If you’d prefer something slightly longer - our Catwoman leather skirt offers slightly more length and coverage yet still looks badass. Wear the leather skirt with a silk blouse during the day and change into a camisole or bodysuit for night.

Autumn is one of our favourite seasons. With chilly weather there are boundless opportunities for layering but still looking cute, i.e. not the Michelin man packed in down Canada Goose snowsuit. Take advantage of the cool temperatures and rock one of the hottest colours of the season: burgundy. Wearing burgundy toned items is a good alternative to greys and blacks and will also help you stand out from falling leaves.
Burgundy is a good way to transition the metallic toe trend from Summer to Fall, like these Dolce Vita loafers. Another favourite summer trend - coloured denim, also works for autumn, of course reworked into a rich burgundy and stretch leather detailing.

Florals have been back in a big way. We’ve found some of our favourite floral prints are vintage, like our Tarzan Floral Print Midi skirt. Orchids have also been a strong trend, especially in interior design, which has also inspired fashion designers, seen here in this Givenchy necklace and our Avani Designs Dangling Orchid Earrings.
Orchids aren’t the only blossoms having a moment, poppies have been a big thing for YSL (check out these beautiful heels!), Kate Spade and Giambattista Valli.
Really get into the floral mood by lighting a gardenia (or blossom scent of choice) candle.

Cocoons on the Runway

We hope the winter weather isn’t getting you down. How about an easy, minimalistic way to bring your stylish spirits back up? Take a look at the “Cocoon” style. This season designers chose a unique silhouette to showcase many of their designs. Whether it was done in a big way with outerwear, or in a small way with sleeve detailing, the “Cocoon” silhouette was predominant on the runway this season. Check out how designers such as Alexander Wang, Jil Sander, Prada, Stella McCartney and others brought this style to life on the runway.

Winter White Wonderland on the Runways

This season, designers turn away from dark shades and stun us with Winter Whites. With the White Swan inspired looks in mind, designers like Alexander McQueen, Valentino, and Elie Saab make make the Snow Queen jealous. They embrace the whimsical winter looks with sparkling whites, fairy princess-like gowns, dramatic capes, furs, and feathers. Because it’s a white white wonderland after all!
