Fashion Week Fix: Paris Fashion Week

Moving East this week from Italy, we focus on Paris, France for their much anticipated fall fashion week which took place February 28th- March 7th 2012. In Paris we saw some new trends, and some trends which have become familiar to us throughout each Fashion Week covered thus far. Some of the biggest design houses known in fashion today showcased their designs this week which included Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Lanvin, and many more. Some of the main trends we saw this week were leather, fur, the colour green, and feathers.
The first trend is one that we’ve seen time and time again. That is: Leather. Leather proved to be huge at Paris Fashion Week, from little embellishments to designers creating whole ensembles out of leather.

Get Burnt.

Designers must have taken an extra dose of Vitamin C this season, because burnt hues are everywhere from tops to bottoms. The transition from summer to fall is effortless, by shifting the colors like the gradual change of fall leaves. These tones recall an earthy ’70s vibe which has been apparent in most of this seasons collections. So, indulge in what used to be known as basic boring brown and bring your fall wardrobe to life with jolts of hot mustard, rusty autumn reds and everything in between.
It’s time for our runway report to get burnt.
